E-Trust – Guiding principles and concepts for the future of electric mobility
Project duration: 04/2010 - 06/2011
Funded by: BMVBS
The E-Trust project is considered a counterpart to the HyTrust project and focuses on the future of individual transport beyond gasoline and diesel.
The goal of the project is to analyze and reflect on society’s perception of electromobility from a social-science perspective. The focus is on existing guiding principles and concepts for the future of electric mobility which play a central role for the further development of electric mobility. They are decisive in determining users’ acceptance of the new technology as well as business, political and administrative decision-making processes.
Qualitative discourse, network and innovation analyses enable a comprehensive view of ideas concerning electric mobility – ideas held by the public and by actors from the business, political, scientific, media and NGO communities.
The UfU is collaborating with the Institut für Transportation Design at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig as well as Spilett New Technologies GmbH on the E-Trust project.
