The three-year project “Passive House Schools get active” ran from January 2015 to December 2017, in which UfU worked together with e&u energiebüro gmbh from Bielefeld and Werk-statt-Schule e.V. from Hanover. The project was funded by the BMUB as part of the National Climate Initiative (NKI). The aim was to provide the various participants with impulses on how to increase satisfaction with the efficient school buildings and thus reduce any skepticism that may arise regarding energy-saving new construction and renovation. In the project, the necessary technical, informational and educational measures were developed and implemented as examples to ensure user-friendly and efficient building operation. This was accompanied by a nationwide competition . Entries could be submitted until 31.03.2017. Our jury selected the winners from the competition entries submitted, who won attractive cash prizes worth a total of €10,000. At the end of the project, the results were summarized in a practical handbook and teaching materials. These can be downloaded free of charge if required.
