Practical handling of data from a soil contamination register using the example of B\u1eafc Ninh province<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”140572″]With CapaViet 2, UfU is extending its involvement in contaminated site management in Vietnam. Through a combination of measures in the areas of education, know-how and technology transfer and the promotion of cooperation between authorities, the aim is to further strengthen capacities within the Vietnamese authorities for recording and dealing with contaminated areas.<\/p>\n

CapaViet 2 builds on the capacities developed in the predecessor projects AnaViet<\/a> and CapaViet<\/a>: In the CapaViet project, for example, potentially contaminated sites in the province of B\u1eafc Ninh were recorded in a cadastre by German and Vietnamese experts. Now this collected contaminated site data is being evaluated and prioritized with regard to the need to secure and remediate the sites. Based on this information, measures can be taken to prevent the subsequent use of contaminated sites that could be hazardous to health.<\/p>\n

In addition to continuing the very popular courses on the on-site detection of heavy metals in soil using mobile X-ray fluorescence analysis (mXRF), CapaViet 2 will for the first time realize an online course on dealing with soil contamination for employees of Vietnamese authorities.<\/p>\n

A study trip to Germany is intended to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and know-how between German and Vietnamese authorities and experts.<\/p>\n

As part of CapaViet 2, an inter-agency dialog is also being initiated in Vietnam to kick-start the process towards coordinated and continuous management of (potentially) contaminated sites.<\/p>\n
