UfU invites you to the big Climate Visions Day.

This afternoon is all about climate protection and saving energy at Berlin schools. You can take part free of charge and network with many other climate activists. Pupils will present the activities at their schools: What is the best way to create a climate roadmap for your own school? Which creative ideas work particularly well and where do things sometimes get stuck? How does the international exchange between schools in Greece and Berlin work?

The project, which has already been approved for another two years, gives schools that have already taken part and new interested schools the opportunity to network. On this day, we want to honor the visions towards climate neutrality and the associated environmental and climate protection activities and at the same time provide space to present them, exchange experiences and get new inspiration. The event is ideal for schools interested in the project to get an idea of the project and make contact with other schools.

On this day, you will also have the opportunity to meet political leaders from Berlin and actively get involved in a panel discussion with Berlin MPs and get to know the politicians. All under the motto “How can politics support practical climate protection in schools?”. Sitting on the podium:

  • Turgut Altug, spokesperson for environmental and nature education (Green parliamentary group)
  • Danny Freymark, Spokesperson for Climate and Environmental Protection (CDU Group)
  • Linda Vierecke, Spokesperson for the Environment and Climate Protection (SPD parliamentary group)

Program

Your school is in demand!

As our schools are the focus of the event, we have designed the program in such a way that there are opportunities for active participation. We want you to be able to network, learn from other schools, find synergies for the roadmaps and discuss your next steps. We would be delighted if,

  • your school presents its roadmap and implementation,
  • committed students can take part in the panel discussion and use the opportunity to put their questions to politicians (we support the preparation),
  • Students can support the event creatively or musically,
  • your school presents the school activities within the framework of the project at the Marketplace of Visions and exchanges experiences with other schools.

We are very much looking forward to your participation in the big Climate Visions Day to learn from each other, cooperate, forge visions for the future and show that there are many of us working for a better future.
