We are delighted that you would like to gift an UfU membership t a loved one. An association lives from its members and their participation and we cannot exist without members. Our members have been involved in the organization and work of the UfU for over 30 years.

Why become a member of UfU?
Membership of UfU offers the opportunity to make a civil contribution to the promotion of democracy and education. In recent years in particular, the focus on climate change, resource consumption, excessive consumption and other problems has increased. These are issues that concern many people in Germany. Many people want to do more than just optimize their private everyday behavior. We offer the opportunity to do so. Whether you want to make a silent financial contribution or become an active member, we offer you the opportunity to get involved with the issues of the future.
Associations like UfU are dependent on donations and membership fees in order to survive. We also have to pay salaries and rent and buy new laptops or furniture from time to time. If active environmental protection associations are to exist in Germany, this is not possible without help from the population.

FAQs
What does a membership with you mean for the person receiving the gift?
As a member, the person receiving the gift is part of the association. He or she is invited to the general meeting, can elect the board or be nominated himself or herself and has a say in major decisions about the future of the association. The highest body in the association is the general meeting and the person receiving the gift is part of this body as a member.
Does the person receiving the gift have to be involved in the association?
No. Whether they are simply a silent member, would like to get involved with topics or even volunteer for our projects is up to the person receiving the gift. We appreciate any kind of support.
Can I also join you?
We are always happy to receive volunteer help for our projects. If you have expertise in one of our research fields or are interested in a project, you can support us at any time.
How can I cancel my membership?
With us there is no subscription or contract period. Membership can be terminated at any time. Simply send an e-mail to info@ufu.de.
Can I deduct the membership fees from my taxes?
Yes, you can. Your membership fees are equivalent to donations. Once a year we will send you a donation receipt for your tax return.
Are the members of the association published?
No. We do not publish our membership lists. Your data is safe with us.
I would like to support you regularly, but don’t want to become a member?
No problem. You can also make a permanent donation under Donations.
