Climate protection in schools and neighborhoods

In this interdisciplinary project, UfU organized various activities on the topics of energy saving, biodiversity and nutrition at the Erste Gemeinschaftsschule Mitte in Berlin’s Moabit district. The aim of the pilot project was to link climate protection and environmental education at the school with the extracurricular environment. Thanks to the cooperation between the school and extracurricular partners, numerous activities were implemented within the project: The pupils organized energy-saving consultations in the neighbourhood, created a multicultural climate cookbook and re-greened their schoolyard. UfU and the community school worked closely with BürSte e.V., SOS Kinderdorf, Moabiter Ratschlag and Bürgerplattform Wedding-Moabit within the project.
