Strategy to reduce air travel
UfU is active in many different countries. We support projects in the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania and Vietnam. We have a long-standing partnership with Vietnam in particular. Even we as an environmental organization cannot avoid business trips. In order to live up to our responsibility, we have agreed on a strategy to avoid air travel. We act according to the principle “Avoid – Optimize – Compensate”. We avoid business trips by plane wherever possible. We prefer train and bus. If a flight is unavoidable, the trip will be optimized so that a return journey is no longer necessary in the near future. We offset air travel without exception.
