Hygiene concept for school visits

The work of the colleagues from the Energy Efficiency & Energy Transition department is primarily characterized by project work with pupils. Our energy-saving experts regularly visit schools throughout Germany to implement energy-saving projects together with the pupils. In order to maintain project teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, UfU has developed a hygiene concept for school visits.

Maintaining the projects is particularly important to us for several reasons: firstly, the climate crisis does not stop at a pandemic. It is important to continue the work of recent years. In our opinion, we cannot afford to put climate targets on the back burner.

Secondly, it has been shown that some measures, in particular measuring indoor air quality withCO2 measuring devices and proper ventilation, can be used to protect against infection during the pandemic. Together with the pupils, we useCO2 measuring devices to measure indoor air quality and show how proper and energy-saving ventilation works. This also reduces the risk of infection from aerosols.

Our hygiene concept is available here as a PDF download.
