Focus of the current event: The federal government’s Easter and summer package for the expansion of renewable energies in Germany and the planned acceleration of environmentally relevant planning and approval procedures

The Federal Government’s declarations of intent to accelerate the expansion of renewable energies and the publication of the first draft laws have raised high hopes, but also concerns: What impact will the planned legislative changes have on participation and legal protection in environmentally relevant planning and approval procedures? How is the future prioritization of climate protection concerns compatible with species protection? What are the consequences for the work of environmental and nature conservation associations?

In future, the Independent Institute for Environmental Issues and Green Legal Impact will jointly organize this participation forum every six months. We would like to classify and discuss the above and other current issues relating to legal protection in environmental matters with you in the first joint edition of this format.

The programme is aimed exclusively at representatives of recognized environmental and nature conservation associations. The event will take place in hybrid form: We look forward to seeing you again, having good conversations and a nice meal together with everyone who is there live ; until lunch, however, all contributions will also be broadcast online with the opportunity to take part in the discussion.

We look forward to your participation and ask you to register by 16.06.2022 at the latest; especially for those who would like to participate in presence. For organizational reasons, we also ask you to cancel in good time if you have registered and are unable to attend.

Participation is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs cannot be covered.
