Capacitiy building on water management

The project aims to improve the watermanagement capacities of local authorities and the civil society sustainably: Local authorities will be supported to implement the legal provisions on watermanagement. The exchange with German experts from NGOs and administration will help to strengthen the transnational cooperation and to learn from experiences made during the implementation of the WFD in Germany.
The following five activities will be carried out to achieve these goals: National guidelines how to implement the provisions of the WFD will be developed; they will be supplemented by a guide for local authorities and NGOs which contains best practices to comply with European provisions. A brochure on the state of the environment of small river entities in Moldova will be created. These units will be used for the training of members of local authorities and NGO and to install a Water Basin Council for the river Baltata.
