Since November 2023, Luisa works as project manager at the Independent Institute for Environmental Issues in the field of environmental law and participation. She studied law at Humboldt University of Berlin and at Université Sorbonne in Paris with a focus on international and European law. She holds an LL.M. in International Environmental and Maritime Law at the University of Utrecht (Netherlands).

Before working for UfU, she did her legal clerkship at the German Federal Environment Agency, a law firm focusing on legal tools for environmental protection, and at Client Earth Berlin. Her main areas of specialization were environmental association lawsuits, access to justice, environment and human rights, as well as international environmental law in the field of deep sea mining and geoengineering.

She gained further practical experience as a legal officer at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in the field of climate protection and sustainability, as an editor of the LTO press review and at the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea.
